I can’t even begin to explain how I feel right now…but elated, exhausted, and inspired, are all fairly appropriate descriptors. I won my very first National Novel Writing Month! And being the hopeless over-achiever that I am, I did it in 20 days! For me? Learning that I could churn out a 50,000 word novel in that amount of time is just nothing short of mind-blowing. I am so, so proud of myself. And I don’t even feel bad saying so!

Even though I started “Red Creek Asylum” on the 1st of November, and finished on the 20th, I’m new to the site and hadn’t figured out how to download my official winners certificate until now. Thanks goes to my lovely friend, and fellow author, Stacey Jaine McIntosh, for cluing me in! So check out my shiny certificate! I’m going to get it printed and framed, because I am a proud nerd!

After my novel, I wrote a short story for submission to Dragon Soul Press. It’s of the Victorian steampunk persuasion. So I’ll be crossing my fingers that my little tale “Bloody Mutiny” will be accepted, and I’ll have yet another gorgeous cover to show off to you all, soon! I’ve also started prepping for a 25,000 word Fantasy Romance/Paranormal Romance novella that I hope to submit to traditional publisher, Carina Press (an imprint of Harlequin, which is owned by HarperCollins!), in the New Year…because I’m a work horse, and I can’t help myself!

Don’t forget to DOWNLOAD “Curse of Christmas“, my gift to you! A FREE Limited Edition paranormal holiday themed collection to keep you busy! This stunning digital book features my short story “Blood & Prophecy“! Enjoy!
Thank you so much for keeping up to date with my authorly adventures, and for subscribing to my blog. (If you haven’t, what are you waiting for?) If you purchase any of the books in which my stories feature, please take the moment to leave a review, and be sure to drop by my Reader Group: Zoey’s Zealots on Facebook for surprise Cover Reveals, ARC opportunities, and other exciting news!

May you feast upon the flesh of your enemies!

A big congratulations! It’s 5:24 in the morning here, and I’m about to join a YouTube write in for some writing sprints. It’s a great way to start the day. I have about 3000 words left in my Nano project (though mine is short stories, not a novel).
